Part 3: Liposuction Without Surgery

Author: Letty's Staff Writer

In this piece we are going to discuss more liposuction options that don't involve any surgery.

Just how does diet and exercise stack up against the rest. Find out here. In fact as a little preview I will tell you that the secret to longevity, disease cures, and beauty is in the article.

I'm not teasing you.

Just take a look below. In this article series we've compared and contrasted different non surgical liposuction options so that you can decide what is best for you.

Let's get started.

  1. IV. Diet and Exercise:

Hands down – diet and exercise is the best way to address resistant fat. Living a healthy lifestyle with a nutritious diet and plenty of exercise is the most reliable way to shape our bodies, and maintain our youthfulness and beauty. AND it is a misconception born of unwillingness to think that they somehow don't work.

    1. A. What are the potential benefits?

The benefits to diet and exercise are numerous and profound. You can cure your diseases, extend your life, and vastly improve your attractiveness and libido – with healthy food and proper exercise. This is only the tip of the iceberg!

The importance of diet and exercise to your life cannot be overstated. AND if you are looking for a non surgical liposuction option - this is it.

    2. B. What are the potential side-effects?

This is only case where the side-effects of the activity are all positive!

With healthy eating and adequate amounts of exercise – you can look forward to decreasing your depression, losing weight, improving your skin's health and radiance, and boosting your sense of optimism and your outlook on life...

And the greatest cost to you is your effort to maintain the lifestyle over time.

  2. V. Radio Frequency Liposuction:

Radio frequency lipolysis has many aliases – one of which is Lipo-Ex[TM]. For this method no surgery is needed.

The way it works is: bipolar radio frequency is used to heat and "melt" fat tissues beneath the skin. Once the fat cells are ruptured by heat they release their contents into the interstitial fluid of the body. Next, the lymphatic system sweeps this fatty material to the liver for processing and eventual elimination from the body.

Apparently it takes about 8 to 10 treatments for patients to lose 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 centimeters), and up to 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms). The cost for a typical treatment package of around 6 treatments can be roughly $3,000 to $4,000.

    1. A. What are the potential benefits?

In theory – radio frequency lipolysis (again, a non surgical liposuction technique) is an effortless way to lose stubborn pockets of fat, diminish wrinkles, and rid yourself of cellulite.

Recovery time is a matter of minutes or hours – not days. And unlike traditional lipolysis this non surgical liposuction procedure is less painful.

    2. B. What are the potential side-effects?

The downsides to the procedure are: burning, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation in some individuals, and possible irritation to the skin.

Another downside to the procedure is that it is not endorsed by plastic surgeons, nor is it proven to work effectively. So in fact – it may provide NONE of the promised benefits. In other words, there is a real possibility you could spend the money and get nothing for your trouble.

  3. VI. Endermologie:

Endermologie uses mechanical devices, rollers, and a vacuuming device to deeply massage the tissues.

It is theorized that fat tissues just under the dermal skin layers can be "broken up" by a vigorous external massaging process. This deep tissue treatment attempts to smooth out the look of cellulite by physically redistributing it.

    1. A. What are the potential benefits?

Endermologie attempts to diminish – or even out the look of cellulite.

    2. B. What are the potential side-effects?

The problem with this particular non surgical liposuction procedure: is that the body just doesn't work in the way it theorizes. Fat tissue hasn't been shown to diminish or change topography in response to what amounts to a deep tissue massage.

In fact this procedure can lead to significant bruising, soreness, muscle injury, and damage to the skin.

AND any smoothness seen after treatment is probably due to trauma-generated swelling. This swelling may help mask the bumpy-appearance of the cellulite – but the effect will only be temporary at best.

Finally, this cosmetic treatment can be significantly painful for some people. Considering the potential harm and the lack of demonstrated effectiveness – you may be wasting your money with this one.

What is the take-home here?

As you can see diet and exercise are pretty much king...

Diet and exercise may not be able to correct every cosmetic challenge. But starting with a healthy lifestyle and a positive mental attitude is a good place to begin your journey.
